Turns out modelling is the only step she ever really took, judging from her recent ruminations on aging. If she didn't find so many enriching pursuits "boring" in her youth, when she would actively mock the profession that gave her so much while smugly claiming that she was so much more than just a model, she might've slid into a more comfortable existence with being an older woman. But yet even now, at nearly 60, she still wants to command the kind of attention she did when she was in the prime of her career as a supermodel, over 30 years ago. That's just not how nature works. She's coming from a place of incredible privilege, so it's hard to have sympathy for her even though I've had a crush on her since the early 90s.
